Happy Birthday Mum!

It was my Mum’s birthday on Saturday and in ladies years I think she’s somewhere around the 26 mark. So here’s a big shout out to her.

I’m not the best of son’s you see, I have an awful memory for dates and can’t remember birthday’s or any date that’s not scheduled in the next few weeks. I don’t know why, but even knowing a date doesn’t necessarily mean that I can equate it with the actual days of the week. So I end up missing all sorts of anniversaries and dates further away than this month.

It doesn’t mean I don’t care of course. I’m just regularly late. As someone in a movie once said I haven’t forgotten, I’ve just remembered wrong. I think that was When Harry met Sally.

So there’s huge apologies going out to my Mum, and the gifts and card are arriving tomorrow!

My Mum is fantastic. She’s been through open heart surgery and struggled with ongoing illness for some time, but kept fighting. Eventually the Doctors have admitted that it was actually the drugs they were giving her that were making her feel worse. Now she’s off them all and is a totally rejuvenated woman, throwing my Dad’s life into disarray as he tries to keep up.

Happy Birthday Mum! It’s not the day that’s important, you’re this age all year, and actually you’re a new age every day…shouldn’t we have birthday’s every day?

Birthdays every day means adding age every day too? Not!!!

This is sweet, make sure she finds a way through your site!

    Mums ROCK! 🙂

I’m dreadful with dates as well. Even my PDA tells me when they are coming up….. and then I forget!

The forgetfulness you get from your mum, sorry.
