9/11 Commission Report

During my holiday I managed to get a lot read, with no Internet access, TV or radio, there was sunbathing, relaxing, reading and sight seeing. So although there was loads to the holiday I certainly managed to get a lot read.
Apart from the poor novel I finished while there, The Genesis Code by John Case, I lept into the hefty tome that is The 9/11 Commission Report: The Full Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States
What is interesting is that I'm well past reading about the actual attacks. The events were recounted from the different views of the various agencies involved, and built together from the data and evidence gathered from all sources including conversations with people on the planes. It was very powerful reading.
Yet that's not what is the compelling part of the book, I've read through how Bin Laden grew in power and organised his terrorist group, building them into what they are today. Now I'm reading about the counter-terrorism within the United States. The history of how it's grown and reviewing all the agencies involved in the detection, prevention and countering of terrorist acts.
Don't be fooled by what you think this report might be about or how it might read, it's a totally absorbing and extremely educational, just wait for the review...or get a copy now!
