Chopper
This was a bit of a disappointment for me as a few friends had recommended it to me and have continued to remind me of it whenever they can. So when I actually saw it I really felt it didn't live up to their recommendations. They had really made it out to be a violent and over the top movie showing the life of one of the most violent criminals there has been, and that's not what I saw.

Timeline
I've thrown myself into Gerard Butler movies, well I'm trying to at least. Mainly because I might on the remotest chance in hell get to interview him, that would be truly superb, but I don't know how likely it will be but I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying my contact comes through. With that I decided to watch Timeline.
I'm not a big fan of Michael Chrichton, oh I know this will get me hit with titles of books, movies and TV shows and "what about this one" pleas, but something always sticks in my throat about him. He wrote Westworld, the story of a pleasure park where the man made attractions go wild and rebel against their human captors. Do I have to go on? Sounds like the sequel, and the Jurassic Park movies? Sure he's done different things since, but that really stuck with me and bugged me to the point of not watching his movies or reading his books.

Cypher
This is really difficult to review for me, because I want to reward a movie that breaks from Hollywood and does something different, I especially want to reward the maker of the Cube by following up with a non-mainstream Hollywood movie. It's just difficult to do with Cypher.

Otogiriso (St John's Wort)
The movie doesn't exactly kick off it just flows on to a beginning. Mixing between future images, dreams, computer artwork and the real story, it's all very confusing. However, like many Asian films if you hold on in there things start to become clear, and they do just that.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone
I had a dim view of the Potter series of books for sometime now, with a mixture of reading reviews and total rebellion at the complete overhype of them. However I'd recently sat down and started thinking about how biased and closed those ideas were and thought that I should at least give them a go. Never happened though, and I committed myself to watching the first movie in the DVD Boxset which I gave my girlfriend for her Christmas.
